"Faithfulness is our Shield."
Martha (Marti) Lloyd has returned to St Michael's as the first and second grade teacher. She previously taught middle school Science and Math.
Marti attended Catholic grade school near College Park and graduated from Immaculate College High School in DC and Rockville, MD. She attended St. Francis College in Loretto, PA, and graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park, with a Bachelor of Arts in History and English. She is beginning work on her Masters in Education this Spring.
Marti is experienced with working with children of all ages. She has enjoyed serving in daycare and working as a long-term substitute for St. Michael’s and Ridge Elementary School for the past six years. She has also been a 4H volunteer for 16 years, as well as a CCD teacher and teen youth group leader.
At home, Marti is passionate about her animals and plants. She recently purchased a local farm, where she raises chickens, ducks, and guinea keets. She hopes to add pigs and goats shortly. She hopes to share her love of learning and agriculture with her students.
She and her fiancé are planning their wedding for next summer.
